Nolix%Uul: Ozer's Ultimatum: World Intro

Mrs Weere rang her bell, but was forced to resort to using her voice. “Settle down, pupils. I’m sure you all have a lot to talk about, but the end of the world as we know it is no excuse to stop learning.”
The students, with scattered expressions of disappointment, shifted their attention to their teacher.
“Thank you,” she said sweetly. “Today, we’ll be discussing current events: Namely, the celestial war between the chaotic demons of Uul and Zel’s divine angels. Three months ago, the first portal to Uul opened, releasing demons and changing our ideas of how life and death work. Jix, perhaps you’d like to explain? You certainly seemed eager to before class.”
The energetic boy got up, and went to the front of the class. “I was chasing a squirrel on the beach but then I saw a demon shoot a big ball at an angel from a metal log but the ball hit me instead and it hurt but then I was in jungle and I didn’t have a body and there were more demons and ghosts but then some knights came and brought me to a purple swirly thing that gave me my body back and took me back here!”
Mrs Weere aplauded, prompting the rest of the class to do so. “Well said, Jix. Have a seat. Now, allow me to expand some of the points Jix made, using a diagram.” She drew on the board as she spoke:

“We start with Jix, alive and healthy, on our world of Nolix. Then he dies, and his soul goes to Uul. Fortunately, a knight comes and rescues him, and takes him through one of the many portals back to Nolix, which brings him back to life.” She set her chalk down, and stepped back so as to give the students a good view.
“Now Jix, I’m sure your mother has talked to you about the dangers of dying, but it never hurts to go over safety. Who can tell me why death is dangerous? Yes, Vint?”
The girl said in a soft, detached voice: “You could get lost.”
“Indeed.” said Mrs Weere. “Uul is a vast, uncharted world, quite possibly as large as ours. It is full of demons, malevolent ghosts, and other mysterious creatures. Syle, do you have something to add?”
The boy gulped. “No, Mrs Weere. I’m wondering where Kossie is.”
“She’s an angel!” exclaimed Jix. “She was picking flowers and one landed next to her ‘cause he was wound-” The force of Mrs Weere’s authorative gaze froze him in mid-sentence.
“Ah. I was wondering about that myself. I suppose Kossie thinks she can skip school just because she’s an angel. If any of you should make the same mistake, I shall be very disappointed in you. Still, this provides a good segway into our next subject: Wing-transfer.”
She began to draw another diagram:

“The process is quite simple: The angel dies. His soul goes to Uul to fight demons, while his wings find a new person to latch onto; in this case, Kossie. She becomes an angel herself. And then skips school, proving that, though they can grant you holy powers of light an healing, do not make you smarter. Question, Teik?”
The boy bit his lip. “What about demon wings? Do they-”
There was a crash, followed by another crash. A yellow-skinned figure with serrated horns and wings like tattered sails had fallen through the roof. By the time it picked itself up, Mrs Weere had already pulled a shortsword out of a drawer. “CLASS DISMISSED!” she yelled, lunging at the demon.
